Dr. Jose Davila - Clinical Director
Biography
Dr. Jose Davila has a Ph. D. in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2016. He is a Doctoral Level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D). He completed his dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Fernando Guerrero. He has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2011. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities since 2008. He has consulted in homes, schools, day programs, developmental centers, and residential facilities. He has worked with different school districts (i.e., LAUSD, BUSD) regional centers (i.e., Lanterman Regional Center, North Los Angeles County Regional Center, East Los Angeles County Regional Center) and funding sources. He has experience conducting Functional Analyses (FAs), FBAs (Functional Behavior Assessments), and skill assessments (e.g., AFLS, VB-MAPP, Vineland). He has developed behavioral interventions to successfully treat a variety of problematic behaviors (e.g., self-injurious behaviors, aggression, feeding). Aside from working in the applied setting, he has also taught practicum courses with master-level students at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and National University. He has provided BACB supervision for people working towards attaining their BCBA supervision hours. He has trained direct staff, teachers, parents, residential staff and managers, and day program staff. Dr. Davila helped launch ICAN-B in 2015 with the support of his brother Juan Davila. This organization now serves hundreds of families across California.
